// New Product: Luna Rose Sugar Scrub

Announciiiiiiiiing the Luna Rose Sugar Scrub!! So I originally wanted to make this for Valentine's Day but then life happened and I ran out of time and before I knew it, Valentine's Day had already came and went! But I still wanted to make this scrub because it turned out beautifully and decided that I might as well make it a permanent part of the line! It's basically the scrub version of my Valentine's Day bath soak- Love potion.

It has the pink clay, the enchant healing scent, the gorgeous combination of rose petals, cornflowers, and calendula, mixed in with my signature cane sugar and coconut oil sugar scrub base. I love it. And I hope you love it too! Here's some more info:

BREAKDOWN OF INGREDIENTS:

Sugar- A natural humectant, sugar draws moisture from the environment into the skin to help hydrate the skin and keep moisture within. It is also a natural source of glycolic acid that penetrates skin to break down the bond between dead skin cells, encouraging cell regeneration for fresher, younger looking skin. This is why sugar makes such a great exfoliant, to remove dead skin cells and reveal the glowing, healthy skin cells underneath. Also, great for the winter as exfoliating the top layer of skin helps moisturizers penetrate more deeply and hydrate longer.

Coconut Oil- Coconut oil helps to improve skin hydration, reduce dryness, and protect the skin from UV radiation. Keeping your skin hydrated is imperative to help preserve it’s barrier function to keep out bacteria, promote scar healing, and maintain overall skin integrity. The lauric acid content in coconut oil has antimicrobial properties that can aid in protecting against harmful microorganisms and the growth of bacteria that causes many types of skin infections such as acne, cellulitis, folliculitis, and athlete’s foot. Coconut oil may also help relieve inflammation by improving antioxidant status, which works by stabilizing free radicals in the body and neutralizing the reactive atoms that contribute to inflammation. Studies have shown coconut oil to increase levels of collagen, an important protein that aids in wound healing while at the same time, prevent infection that could complicate the healing process. Coconut oil is essential to keep your skin healthy, moisturized, and blemish free!

Cornflowers- These sky-blue flowers were once thought to symbolize healthy eyes. For this reason it became a treatment for eye ailments in French medicine although it’s efficacy is debated. It is sometimes taken as a tonic and stimulant, improving digestion and possibly supporting the liver as well as your immune system.

Rose Petals- Roses evoke the spirit of love in the heart and mind. They are a staple in Ayurvedic medicine for their soothing and detoxing effects and were once called the “Queen of Flowers” by a Greek poet.
